For us, life’s about chasing the wild. There aren’t many truly wild places left on the planet, and it gives us so much joy to seek out these places and share them with you.

We still distinctly recall a feeling of unease or claustrophobia related to over-urbanisation, a moment when sailing became more than just travel for us, but a way to satisfy our burning desire to seek out and explore some of the last truly wild places. We dreamt of observing and forming a connection with nature as best we can with how it may once have been before the influence of the modern world.

Being immersed within the seemingly endless and towering walls of the Berkley River was unlike anything we could have imagined. It had taken us three years of sailing and perseverance through multiple setbacks and loads of personal growth to reach this place, and when we finally arrived, it proved to be so far beyond our wildest expectations. However, while completely mind-blowing, in a strange sense, besides the killer crocodiles of course, it felt so welcoming and homely.

Nestled deep in the protection of the river, we were safe from the ocean's ever-changing moods and free to explore a unique reach of the world. We will never forget our time here, chasing waterfalls and dodging crocs in the gigantic, humbling embrace of the Berkley River.
